About Me

Welcome to the Recovery Alchemy Community! My name is Dr. Dallas Bragg, Recovery Coach. I help men who have sex with men (MSM) break free from crystal meth and reach their full potential.

My Story

My story began as a boy in rural West Virginia. Knowing I was gay at an early age created led to self-rejection. My father wanted me to be more “manly,” and my mother raised me in a Pentecostal Church that told me I was going to hell. The rejection of my identity created shame that stuck with me throughout my adult years.

That self-rejection led me to marry a woman and have two children because that felt like the protection I needed to remain “straight”.

Fast forward to age 36, after bouts with clinical depression and suicidal ideations, I “came out” as a gay man, believing that I could then live without shame. Instead, I entered a world (the Queer Community) of harsher judgment, exclusivity, and disconnection.

I spiraled emotionally.

Then, one day I discovered the magic elixir of crystal meth (Tina). One puff of her and I forgot all about my insecurities. For the first time in my life I felt comfortable in my own skin. I was free to explore my sexual side, free of the debilitating shame that had haunted me for the past three decades.

I dove head-first into the secret, dark world of ParTying (HnH, Chillouts, Chemsex). In three years, I had lost my job, my car, my kids, and my home, and I had four felony drug possession charges.

The day after my 42nd birthday, my teenagers picked me up from jail, and I pledged to them that I would choose them over Tina from that day forth. And my recovery journey began.

During drug treatment, I discovered that the recovery industry was not prepared to meet the needs of gay men addicted to crystal meth. The nuances of this drug addiction was different and required a unique approach. There were sizable gaps that I had to fill on my own.

After five years of healing, emotional sobriety, and returning to my soul self, I decided to launch my own Recovery Coaching exclusively for gay men addicted to crystal meth.

Because not only does the general population lack knowledge of this addiction, I found that the LGBTQIA+ community was not talking about it either. This epidemic that is stealing the lives of our gay brothers is being swept under the rug.

Not anymore.

Today

Today, I operate a thriving coaching business and enjoy an elevated and healthy relationship with my children, family, and friends. I am honored to live my passion and witness men from all over the world walk away from Tina to reach their full potential.
